Together with Magnus Waldeborn, ad dios did two shorter gigs at the Falconer Centre on Sunday 7 February. It was all great fun and there was quite a few people listening. We played a few tracks from the Middle-Earth album, and one each from The Endless Knot and Avalon respectively. The setlist was as follows: > Middle-Earth > The Endless Knot > Isengard > Winter at Tintagel > Gondor We also managed to record some music; and for your entertainment, please listen to the final song, Gondor! : ) Gondor – ad dios & Magnus Waldeborn Regards from backstage, ad dios

As we wrote in an earlier item, ad dios did quite a few gigs as a live act during the 90s. Back then we performed in as different surroundings as the local pub, a church, at various exhibitions, the premises of our distributor and at The Night of Culture, Kulturnatten, in Lund. When we were asked by our Danish distributor, Jens Ørsted at SundMusik, if we could do a shorter performance at the health fair KROP-SIND-ÅND in February we accepted with pleasure. The time has come, we think, to once more take our music out of the caves and meet listeners live… : ) So, if you are in the vicinity of Copenhagen during the first weekend of February you are most welcome to listen to us at Falconer Centret. There are two perfomances which each will last for about half an hour; February 7 at 12.00 and 17.00. This time we have developed the act togehter with our guitar player from the Middle-Earth album, Magnus Waldeborn. The songs will be slightly different arranged and adapted for three musicians. We will focus on mostly new pieces but there might be some “ancient” music too… : ) See you there, ad dios Further

Returning to the theme from the first entry of “In the beginning”, litterature, there is still a lot more to say… As some of you hopefully still have some days off before the seasonal holiday has come to an end, there is time to read a few new books and therefore we will continue with another author who indeed has inspired us a good deal. Stephen Lawhead is, even though an American, one of the authors who best has captured the “Celtic spirit”. Especially while composing our albums Avalon and The Endless Knot, we had his books in mind, and in the studio. He has written more then 20 novels, of which many are highly recommended. Our suggested selection for you: The Pendragon Cycle – consist of five novels, where the two first, Taliesin and Merlin, are the gems in the series. Combining the stories of Myrddin with elements from the Atlantis legend you might end up on a slippery slope, which easily could mean disaster, but in the hands of Stephen Lawhead it all works out very well! Song of Albion – three books based on Celtic mythology; The paradise war, The silver hand and The Endless Knot. Together they

The music of ad dios can be heard in many different contexts. The one we would like to pay attention to this time is perhaps somewhat limited in time, but could still be a really good idea. Quite often you hear the most disturbing and noisy sounds from mobile phones in the vicinity. But, there are in fact other ways of doing this! Even so, you can choose a song from ad dios, which of course only brings positive effects all around! No guarantee of the total realaxation as with the persons in the below picture, but still… : ) The solution to this is called Relaxtones, and is presented by Theta Wellness Music, the publisher of ad dios albums and much more. For the time being there are two songs from ad dios in the selection of ringtones, Ascending and Floating, both from the album Echoes in Stone. Check them out here, and you will contribute to less ear pollution in your neighbourhood… : ) Subtle regards, ad dios
